One of Asia’s biggest online betting sites 188BET has announced that it has entered into a deal in terms of which it will become the Official Asia Sponsor of the motorsport series with immediate effect.

The five-season agreement was brokered by Interregional Sports Group (ISG), the lead sponsorship agency for F1 and will run until the culmination of the F1 Championship and will see the bookmaker featured exclusively throughout the Asian broadcast market.

The partnership will grant the 188BET brand appearance on virtual trackside advertising for races that are broadcast together with customized activation and integration across F1s fast expanding digital and social platforms.

188BET will also have exclusive ownership of F1 Play, a predictor app for the Asia sports betting market, and will receive official F1 betting data supplied by Sportradar.

The Managing Director of Commercial Operations for F1, Sean Bratches stated that 2019 has been another great year for Formula 1 and they are delighted to see that over 4 million fans joined them at their 21 races, beating the attendance figures for last year, including a record-breaking Italian Grand Prix weekend attendance with 200,000 spectators.

Bratches also said that their mission is to unleash the greatest racing spectacle on the planet and give their fans an experience they will never forget.  He added that they are, therefore, delighted to see that, based on research carried out on the ground, those attending events are enjoying their experience over a race weekend and they are determined to ensure they continue to feel that way.
