The National Basketball Association (NBA) has announced that it has entered into a partnership with BetEasy, majority owned by The Stars Group, in terms of which BetEasy will be the first official wagering partner of the NBA in Australia. This follows the Stars Group becoming an authorized gaming operator of the NBA in the United States under the BetStars brand in December of last year.

As the exclusive official wagering partner of the NBA in Australia, BetEasy will be given the right to use NBA assets in marketing materials and promote its products directly to fans of NBA in the country. BetEasy will also become the presenting partner of ‘NBA Pick’Em: Weekly 6” which is a free-to-play game that is due to launch in Australia later this year that will see fans winning lucrative prizes.

The partnership will be promoted on BetEasy’s assets and the NBA’s online platforms throughout Australia, including the league’s official local destinations, the NBA App and the NBA’s localized Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Matt Tripp, the Chief Executive of BetEasy, commented on the partnership by saying that basketball is the most-popular and fastest-growing sport for Australian wagering customers and their partnership with the NBA will allow them to offer the best NBA betting experience for their customers.
Scott Levy, EVP and Managing Director of NBA Asia, added that as they continue to explore international opportunities in the sports betting space, they are thrilled to extend their partnership with The Stars Group to include BetEasy in Australia.
