DraftKings and NFL are thrilled to announce a ‘landmark’ multi-year first daily fantasy sports (DFS) deal in terms of which DraftKings is now the official DFS partner for the National Football League (NFL).

In terms of the deal, DraftKings will gain access to exclusive National Football League sponsorship in the Daily Fantasy Sports category as well as access to NFL branding across gaming and content platforms.

In addition, the companies have also promised integration across NFL media properties.

Jason Robins, Chief Executive Officer at DraftKings, said that this is a defining moment in the industry and they are thrilled to become the first daily fantasy sports partner to enter into a formal relationship with the NFL.

Robins went on to say that throughout their discussions with the League, it was evident that they share a common vision around the future of fan engagement and they are excited to continue on this unique journey with the NFL as their official daily fantasy partner.

Renie Anderson, CRO at National Football League, who overseas league partnerships, commented that Daily Fantasy Football has been a tremendous vehicle for fans of all types to deepen their engagement with the NFL.  He added that they are thrilled to partner with DraftKings, a clear leader in the daily fantasy space, as they continue to innovate and provide their millions of fans additional ways to interact with and enjoy the NFL.

A press release has revealed that almost 90% of DraftKings’ 11 million customers have played a National Football League.
