Official data rights holder of English and Scottish professional football leagues Football DataCo has agreed upon an integrity program with Genius Sports and Perform Group.

The agreement was welcomed as “ground breaking” and is the first of its kind to see two sports data and technology competitors partner in order to protect the honor of the sport in which Scottish and British professional league and cup competitions in Scotland and England will now benefit from two refined bet monitoring systems.

A commissioned intelligence network that was developed with the assistance of all three parties, will be monitoring all odds movements across 14 different competitions in Scottish and English football that includes the principal Premier League, EFL and Scottish Professional Football League matches as well as Scottish and English FA Cups and steps 1-4 in the English National League.

Genius Sports and Perform Group will also work together to deliver a selection of educational workshops aimed at providing players, officials and league and club executives with knowledge on how to identify and avoid the threat of match fixing.

The General Manager of Football DataCo, Adrian Ford commented that ensuring the highest standards of integrity is a key priority for both Scottish and English Leagues and Football Associations. He added that harnessing the strengths of Genius Sports and Perform and focusing on intelligence led information will support efforts to protect the integrity of British football.

Steven Burton, Managing Director of Genius Sports said that to be truly effective, any strategy against the growing threats of match-fixing and betting-related corruption must incorporate three key elements: technology, education and intelligence.
