This year’s Microgaming Poker Network (MPN) flagship tournament series, the Universal Championship of Poker (UCOP), returned for its fifth instalment between 15th and 29th September 2019, guaranteeing an amount of €1 million across 94 events.
The highlights of this year’s UCOP tournament schedule is a €100,000 guaranteed Main Event on 29th September at 17:00, a €45,000 guaranteed High Roller on 29th September at 18:00 and the €30,000 guaranteed 6 Max Freezeout on 22nd September at 18.00.
Between now and 29th September, those players completing certain achievements will be awarded a €110 buy-in UCOP Main Event ticket.
The UCOP leaderboard will also be running throughout this year’s action-packed tournament schedule, with the leader of the pack at the end of the series due to be crowned the ‘Greatest Poker Player in the Universe’ and receiving the sought-after trophy of a €1,550 Online Tournament Ticket package, €1,500 MPN Poker Tour (MPNPT) package, €1,000 in cash as well as a Player’s Choice prize.
In addition to the above, the top eight players will be eligible to choose a Player’s Choice prize (a €1,550 Online Tournament Tickets Package, €1,500 MPNPT package, or an amount of €1,000 in cash).
Any player winning a UCOP event will also qualify to participate in the Tournament of Champions scheduled to take place on 6th October at 19:00, which will pay out the top eight players, including a Player’s Choice prize for first place.
The UCOP 2018 Main Event champion, Mantas Urbonas, is looking to defend his crown in this year’s series and commented that he would really like to take down at least one of the events.
