Organizer of the leading men’s golf tournaments in North America, the PGA Tour, has announced that it has entered into a multi-year deal for betting content and marketing with the BetMGM sportsbook on Monday, 3rd August 2020 that will enhance its efforts around sports betting.

The deal is the tour’s second agreement with an official sports betting operator in less than a week after announcing a similar deal with DraftKings on Tuesday, 28th July 2020.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the first major of this year commences on Thursday, 6th August 2020 when the PGA Championship will be played at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco without any fans.

The U.S. Open will take place between Thursday, 17th and Sunday, 20th September at Winged Foot G.C. in Mamaroneck, New York while the Masters is scheduled to be held between Thursday, 12th to Sunday, 15th November at Augusta National G.C. in Augusta, Georgia.

As an official betting partner of the PGA Tour, BetMGM will be given the rights to use PGA Tour trademarks in the US and be permitted to advertise within the Tour’s own media as well as via its partner platforms and create pre and post game betting programming.

Matt Prevost, Chief Markleting Officer at BetMGM, commented that they look forward to working with the PGA to integrate great experiences for BetMGM customers.  He added that BetMGM’s advanced betting technology, combined with the PGA Tour’s world-class competitions and iconic players, will not only advance the Tour’s position at the forefront of professional sports, but the entire betting industry as well.
