Omni-channel sports betting solutions Playtech BGT Sports (PBS) has revealed that it has enhanced its partnership with Betfred, a leading bookmaker based in the United Kingdom, by adding 250 widescreen terminals to its network of retail outlets.

In terms of the expanded agreement, there will now be a total of more than 3000 terminals across Betfred’s 1700 retail betting shops with the widescreen additions installed in time for the new football season.

According to Betfred Retail Management, further Playtech BGT terminal provisions were needed in order to satisfy the growing consumer demand for self-service products at an in-store level.

Mark Stebbings, the Managing Director of Betfred Retail, commented that betting-in-play has never been more popular so it is great to be able to turn to Playtech BGT Sports to cater to their needs.

Stebbings went on to say that their widescreen terminals are the best on the market and they are sure they will continue to be a major part of their business, especially in their best performing shops.

Playtech BGT has revealed that the new Betfred widescreen betting terminals is due to be installed ahead of the start of the new English football season on 11th August 2018.

John Pettit, Managing Director for UK, Ireland, Asia and Australia at Playtech BGT Sports, backed Betfred’s terminal update by saying that Betfred is one of the high street’s leading brands and they are thrilled to grow their relationship with them.

Pettit also said that they have seen continued growth in turnover from SSBT’s and expect this trend to continue throughout the summer and into the new football season when they go live.
