PointsBet, America’s fastest growing online bookmaker, has entered into an exclusive partnership with the Detroit Tigers that sees it becoming the first sports book to partner a Major League Baseball (MLB) and the first to partner a Michigan based sports franchise.

The multi-deal comes after Michigan launched legal sports betting in March 2020 and commences from the beginning of this year’s MLB season on 23rd July 2020.

In terms of the deal PointBet will endeavor to boost fan engagement and game-day experiences by offering access to exclusive experiences, content and promotions in and around the Tigers’ Commercial Park stadium.

The operator will have its branding featured extensively around the ballpark and also gain a presence on the Detroit Tigers Radio Network as well as on its digital platforms.  In addition, a regular feature on The Word of Woodward, a twice-weekly live stream on the team’s website, Facebook page and YouTube is also included.

PointsBet recently partnered with MLB to become an authorized gaming partner of the league, granting it access to trademarks, league data and logos within its sports book apps and allowing operators to then partner individual teams.

Chris Granger, Group President of Sports and Entertainment for the Tigers’ parent company llitch Holdings, commented that they are thrilled to welcome PointsBet as a gaming partner of the Detroit Tigers.

Granger added that their incredible fans will love the unique experiences and innovative offerings that PointsBet’s personalized platform provides.

Johnny Aitken, Chief Executive Officer of PointsBet USA said that they offer the most betting options in the world on MLB games via their unique PointsBetting product, and are excited to inject a unique and robust betting proposition into the great state of Michigan.
