Poland’s biggest betting operator, STS, is pleased to reveal that it is the first Polish bookmaker to officially operate in the United Kingdom after the Gambling Commission granted it a license to do so.

Although the Polish bookie currently operates in over a dozen European countries, its entry into the largest regulated market in the world is a massive achievement.

Mateusz Juroszek, the Chief Executive Officer at STS, commented that obtaining a license in the United Kingdom is the result of a consistently implemented international expansion strategy.

Juroszek went on to say that they are always looking at other prospective foreign markets.

STS appears to be getting frustrated with its home market as it feels that the Polish government is more concerned with the collection of taxes than it is about ensuring a maintainable and responsible gambling market.  The operator has, however, made it clear that it remains committed to Poland.

In addition to its new license from the Gambling Commission, STS has also revealed that it is interested in obtaining a license from the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), and has named Germany as a core target market.

Last week STS announced that it has entered into a partnership with iGaming conversion specialist Enteractive, in terms of which the operator will utilize the company’s ‘plug and play’ Re-activation Cloud in order to enhance player retention rates.  The partnership enabled the operator to add another important tool to their CRM department, allowing it to communicate and engage on a large scale with their customers.
