The Wolverhampton Wanderers football club (Wolves) has entered into a two-year sponsorship deal with Asia-facing and Philippines-based online gambling firm W88, in terms of which the global online gaming operation will feature on the front of the club’s famous old gold Premier League shirt as from the 2018/2019 season.

The sponsorship will see W88 featured on Wolves’ range of training wear, which will be released together with the new home kit later this month. The online gambling firm will also benefit from branding on pitch-side advertising boards and other promotional activities.

As its principal partners, W88 will work with Wolves on a number of mutually beneficial activations throughout the period of the partnership, which is the largest of its kind in the history of the club.

Laurie Dalrymple, Wolves Managing Director, commented+ that they are delighted to confirm W88 as their shirt sponsor for Wolves’ first season back in the Premier League. He added that the commitment they have shown Wolves even extends to them allowing their logo to be changed to black and grey to complement their old gold, rather than their brand’s usual blue color which is something for which they are very grateful.

Hilly Ehrlich, Business Development Manager of W88, said that this partnership is a major step for them in expanding their global footprint and they look forward to working with the club to engage the fans and supporters of Wolves, both in the UK and worldwide.

W88 has a link to English football in the shape of Three Lions and Liverpool player Emile Heskey, who was signed up to be a brand ambassador in February.
