European internet casino group ALEA is pleased to announce that it has acquired UK mobile casino brand LadyLucks.co.uk from IGT Group for an undisclosed amount.

Barcelona-based ALEA revealed that it will be maintaining the LadyLucks.co.uk brand, although it has undertaken a relocation of the platform and overhauled the asset’s website.

The casino, that has been in operation since 2004, was originally launched by Probability plc and absorbed by GTECH in 2014 after it purchased Probability’s assets for an amount of £18 million.

Alexandre Tomic, the Co-founder of ALEA, commented on the purchase by saying that the LadyLucks.co.uk brand will form a vital part of his firm’s UK expansion strategy and follows ALEA being awarded a UK gaming license a month ago.

Tomic went on to say that this is a bold move from ALEA, and forms part of their battle plans for the UK market. He added that now that they have a license from the Gambling Commission, they want to significantly grow their presence in the country.

The Co-founder also said that LadyLucks is already benefitting from the ALEA touch and they have quadrupled the number of game suppliers, rolled out games on desktop as well as mobile and given players access to free spins for the very first time. Tomic added that they see huge potential for the LadyLuck brand to become a power player in UK online casino.

ALEA has appointed Sarah Quinan as the Casino Manager of LadyLucks. Quinan worked with the brand for a number of years, developing the customer support and driving its VIP program until July of this year.
