Betway, a global online betting and gaming operator, is pleased to announce that it has signed its second football shirt sponsorship deal in Spain after entering into a two-year deal with La Liga side Levante UD.

Two weeks ago the operator signed its first Spanish sponsorship deal with La Liga side CD Leganes.

Levante UD has been nicknamed Granotas (which translates as The Frogs) and was founded over 100 years ago. Levante UD managed to finish 15th in La Liga last season.

Anthony Werkman, the Managing Director at Betway, commented on the sponsorship agreement by saying that the season is fast approaching and they are delighted to have agreed a deal with Levante UD ahead of yet another exciting La Liga campaign.

Werkman went on to say that they are always looking for ways to extend their reach of the Betway brand throughout Europe and that this is a great opportunity to do just that. He added that Levante UD is a club seeped in history and they look forward to a successful partnership.

President of Levante Union Deportiva, Franciso Javier Catalan Vena, added that signing with such a recognized international brand brings huge prestige to Levante.

Vena also said that they have a continued ambition to grow over the next two years in La Liga and at the same time look forward to this partnership helping Betway to grow in Spain.

Betway is also a principal sponsor of English Premier League club West Ham United as well as a betting partner of Bundesliga club Werder Bremen and Belgian champions RSC Anderlecht.
