Leading daily fantasy and sports betting provider DraftKings has announced that it has partnered with East St. Louis-based Casino Queen that will see the parties re-brand as ‘DraftKings at Casino Queen’.
On Thursday, 23rd July 2020, Boston based DraftKings revealed that the partnership brings its’ ‘sports book app and a retail presence to Illinois in association with Casino Queen, subject to receiving the requisite approvals. The re-branding will expand to Casino Queen’s location in East St. Lois in Illinois.
Ezra Kuchartz, the Chief Business Officer at DraftKings, issued a statement saying that they are excited to be working with Casino Queen to bring their premier sports betting experience to the state and its sports fans.
Kuchartz went on to say that through this collaboration, they have the opportunity to change how fans engage with the sports they love, while becoming a part of the fabric of Illinois’ rich sports culture.
Launched in 2012, DraftKings is the only US-based vertically integrated sports betting operator, with its sports book offering mobile and retail betting for leading US and international sports while operating in Indiana, Mississippi, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Iowa, New Jersey and West Virginia.
Terry Downey, the President of ‘DraftKings at Casino Queen’, said that Casino Queen is thrilled to welcome DraftKings to Illinois, the St. Louis area and their family.
Downey also said that they believe this collaboration will enhance the Casino Queen iconic brand while introducing the sports betting industry leader to their state. He added that customers will consider only one choice for gaming and sports betting; ‘DraftKings at Casino Queen’.
