Galaxy Group is thrilled to announce that it has acquired the online gambling operator VitalBet and other eSports brands from Vital Media.
VitalBet, a high end official betting website, backed by the 8 times World Boxing champion Manny Pacquiao, launched in April of 2015 and is currently among the leading eSports websites.
Galaxy Group is endeavoring to enhance its strategic position within the eSports audience with the acquisition of VitalBet and the group is celebrating the deal by forming and sponsoring the new Balkan CS:GO Pro League which will be operated under the patronage of VitalBet.
Eight of the best teams from the Balkan region will be given an opportunity to participate in a month long tournament which will include LAN finals. Also included in the tournament are the Dark Passage team (Turkey), the Pixel team (Hungary) and the OUTLAWS team (Bulgaria).
The reason for Galaxy Group forming and sponsoring the tournament is that it will enable lessor known teams to have an opportunity to be in the spotlight and gain higher exposure on the professional eSports scene. The tournament will also further strengthen the Vital Bet position as a brand.
Edison Chow, the Marketing Director of the Galaxy Group, commented on the recent acquisition of VitalBet by saying that they are extremely happy to be going forward with the acquisition and starting the VitalBet Pro League. Chow went on to say that they have very high hopes that the interest in eSports will continue to grow in the future.
