New York-listed supplier International Game Technology (IGT) has announced that it is endeavoring to increase its sports betting footprint throughout the Silver State, after obtaining regulatory approval in Nevada for its PlaySports platform for retail and online sports betting.

This development will see the London-headquartered technology supplier now target the expansion of its sports betting enterprise in the US’s most acclaimed state for gambling through its PlaySports solution, which is currently live in 16 states in the US.

IGT established the necessary Nevada field trial process for its PlaySports technology at Boyd Gaming properties in August of last year and is now powering Boyd Gaming’s total sports betting enterprise in the state.

PlaySports launched more than a decade ago and has since processed almost two billion bets globally, powering operators in Latin America, Europe and Asia, including customers such as Lottomatica and OPAC.

Enrico Drago, the Senior Vice President at IGT PlayDigital, commented that achieving Nevada regulatory approval for their PlaySports technology enables IGT to extend their sports betting expertise to their many, long-time customers throughout the state and notably differentiates IGT from many other B2B sports betting platform providers.

Drago went on to say that IGT’s PlaySports platform is equipped with a high-performance betting engine that delivers an exceptional player experience, an integrated player account management module that enables operators to drive player acquisition and retention through bespoke offers and promotions and a modular design that enables their PlaySports customers to scale their offering with new market opportunities.
