H1 2019 proved to be an excellent first half for Lithuania’s regulated online gambling market. The Eastern European country reported that its market value increased to EUR 17.5 million in the first six months of 2019. The bulk of the regulated market was fed by remote betting, offered by licensed gambling operators in Lithuania. 

Some of the highlights of the H1 2019 reports as follows:

  • Remote wagering rose to EUR 10.4 million from EUR 8.1 million.
  • Online casino revenue rose to EUR 6.4 million from EUR 3.8 million.
  • Six operators offer online casino platforms in Lithuania.
  • In the first half of the year, players spent EUR 271.7 million on igaming – an increase of EUR 255.6 million last year.
  • Of the money spent by players, EUR 254.2 million was son.
  • Land-based gambling in Lithuania rose to EUR 34.6 million (up from EUR 33.7 million in the same period of 2018).
  • Land-based table games generated EUR 8.6 million in revenue (up from EUR 8.4 million last year).
  • Sports betting dropped a little from EUR 4.9 million last year to EUR 4.7 million this time around.
  • Players were particularly active at land-based casino tables, wagering EUR 233.9 million in H1 2019, compared to EUR 230.6 million in H1 2018.
  • Players won just under EUR 2 million on land-based gambling games in H1 2019.
