Matchbook betting exchange has announced that it has entered into a new three-year horse racing sponsorship with York Racecourse in terms of which it will become the Official Betting Partner of the Dante Festival meeting due to take place in May of this year.

The Dante Festival is held over a period of three days, commencing on Wednesday, 16th May 2019 with Matchbook sponsoring four ITV races over the course of Thursday and Friday including the Group Two Yorkshire Cup, the feature race on Day Three of the Festival.

Stradivarius won the Yorkshire Cup last year which was the first of four legs that he won on his way to win the Weatherby Hamilton Stayers’ Million.

Matchbook also sponsor the Henry II Stakes at Sandown taking place the following week.

Mark Brosnan, the Chief Executive Officer of Matchbook commented that they are delighted to be expanding their horse racing sponsorship portfolio with this three year commitment to the Dante Festival and particularly with such an historic race as the Matchbook Yorkshire Cup. He added that this comes at a key time of the year for them with the flat season really getting going and Royal Ascot a matter of weeks away.
