Microgaming is pleased to announce that the Isle of Man Government has removed all restrictions relating to Covid-19 Gatherings and Social Distancing restrictions and the ‘Microgaming Isle of Man Marathon and Half-Marathon” will therefore go ahead as planned on Sunday, 9th August 2020.

Microgaming is aware of the fact that it will be difficult for entrants from off-island to participate as all arrivals are required to quarantine for 2 weeks due to the Isle of Man borders being closed.

Those who have already entered the race and live off-island are being given the following option-

  1. All refunds to entrants will be made by cheque in sterling.
  2. The entry fee can be donated to a local charity – Hospice Isle of Man.
  3. Nothing to be done.  If Microgaming does not hear from an entrant they will defer the entry to the 2021 event.  The date of

The 2021 event is yet to be confirmed but should be at the same time of the year.

The Isle of Man Marathon and Half Marathon is a competitor friendly event that is due to take place on Sunday, 9th August 2020 and will be run over the Manx Northern course, starting and finishing in Ramsey.  Starting in Ramsey, entrants head along Mooragh Promenade past the site of the former Grand Island hotel and on to Bride and from there to Andreas and St Judes before returning back towards Ramsey.  There will be two laps for marathon runners, finishing at the stadium.
