NetEnt, the Swedish based online gambling group, released its 2015 report this week, showing new record levels of growth in terms of total revenues and the number of gaming transactions in the year. Key events in the year included:

First quarter: 11 new customers signed on, gambling license obtained in UK

Second quarter: Patent agreement for North American market entered with IGT, first two New Jersey customers signed

Third quarter: Customer agreement signed with Gala Coral, group named Digital Industry Supplier of the Year.

Fourth quarter: Major tracks made in New Jersey market

Revenue grew 33% in 2015, while the operating margin jumped 35.5%.

All in all, NetEnt signed up 43 new customers and went live with 37 new customers in 2015, with particularly important growth factors being the UK gambling market and mobile games.  The group launched 15 new games in 2015, while winning seven prestigious industry awards, including best game of the year with Spinata Grande slot. 

“We are really pleased that the mobile segment is enjoying such sharp growth because during the year we completed the transition of our game development process to HTML5, which will bring synergies and support innovation and quality in our game development going forward,” said the president and CEO of NetEnt, Per Eriksson.

The CEO said that NetEnt would continue to focus on premium products in digital casino, and aim for a growing market share in the UK. He predicted that the group’s focus on North America will also support continued high growth in 2016.
