NetEnt, a leading Swedish provider of digital gaming solutions, is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with 20th Century Fox Consumer Products in terms of which it will exclusively license the Planet of the Apes film franchise for online casino gaming.
The agreement that was announced at ICE Totally Gaming a few days ago will enable NetEnt to develop slot games on the entire Planet of the Apes franchise, based on a world in which humans and intelligent apes clash for control. The agreement will see the multi-media brand being used in online casino gaming for the first time.
Simon Hammon, Chief Product Officer at NetEnt, commented on the agreement by saying that Planet of the Apes is one of the largest film franchises in the world never to have been applied to gaming before. He also said that with such a rich history, the brand resonates with everyone that has grown up with the films, and it will fit perfectly with NetEnt’s vast and diverse player base.
Hammon went on to say that they are thrilled to have signed the franchise, and are eagerly waiting to offer the game to players later in the year.
According to NetEnt, its Planet of the Apes online slot game is due to be released during the second half of this year. It was also revealed that the game features superb graphics and unique game mechanics that is bound to bring the power and excitement of the brand to life.
