The UK Tote Group has announced that it has entered into a four-year partnership with the Chester Race Company that will see it return to Chester and Bangor-on-Dee racecourses in 2020 after an absence of eight years

In terms of the agreement the Tote will become the on-course betting partner at Chester as well as the existing provision for Chester Bet and will also return as sponsor of the Chester Cup as part of a special Boodles May Festival betting partnership.  The Tote last sponsored the race in 2011 after which Chester and Bangor launched their own in-house betting service in 2012.

Richard Thomas, Chief Executive Officer at Chester, said that they are excited to have agreed this innovative partnership with the UK Tote Group.

Thomas went on to say that their priority is to provide racegoers the very best experience when visiting their racecourses and the return of the Tote on-course ensures their customers will benefit from an efficient and varied betting experience, delivered via a newly enhanced service.

Alex Frost, Chief Executive Officer of the UK Tote Group, added that they are delighted to be working with Chester Race Company to ensure pool betting is once again available to the quarter of a million people who visit Chester and Bangor racecourses every year.

Frost also thanked Richard and his team for the forward-thinking and dynamic way that they have approached their new partnership.  He added that they look forward to once again seeing the Tote sponsoring the historic Chester Cup and further developing the ways in which the Tote can support and promote racing at Chester and Bangor racecourses.
