Oslo-listed Gaming Innovation Group (GIG) has revealed that it has enhanced its sports betting offering by entering into a long-term partnership with digital sports content and media group Perform.

In terms of the agreement signed between the parties, Perform’s RunningBall subsidiary will supply data from international sports events to GIG, which will be used to provide odds to its B2B clients and proprietary brands.

The new deal will also see Perform taking charge of a network of scouts in Norway from GIG, which the supplier will use to increase its coverage of professional football leagues in the country.

Ross MacEacharn, the Chief Executive Officer of Perform Content, commented on the partnership by saying that they are pleased to have entered into an agreement where RunningBall will be able to take advantage of GIG Sports’ extensive network in Norway.  He went on to say that in addition, they eagerly look forward to contributing to GIG Sports’ betting offering in the European market.

GIG added that the deal was an important building block in its initiative towards launching GIG Sports as a serious challenger to the competitive sports betting supplier market.

GIG Sports is due to launch before the FIFA World Cup this summer and will comprise of a product portfolio that includes aggregated and in-house generated odds and data services, trading and risk management platform, business intelligence (BI) and marketing platforms, as well as mobile first front-end technology.
